About Us

The Brazilian Cultural Center of Chicago is a nonprofit educational organization. Its purpose is to promote and disseminate information about the diverse peoples of Brazil, fostering understanding and appreciation for Brazilian culture, music, art, and dance. The cultural center will serve Brazilians and friends of Brazil as a resource for educational programs, social events and cross-cultural exchange.
Our goal is to create a multicultural, multiethnic environment where people can gather to exchange ideas and share their experiences and knowledge about Brazil's rich cultural heritage.
The Brazilian Cultural Center in Chicago was legally incorporated in the State of Illinois March 2002 and it received its 501(c) (3) nonprofit status in 2004 to attend this need.
