Goals & Objectives

Our goal is to create a multicultural, multiethnic environment where people can gather to exchange ideas and share their experiences and knowledge about Brazil's rich cultural heritage.

The Brazilian Cultural Center of Chicago shall:

• Educate the public and promote awareness about the diverse cultures of Brazil.
• Encourage and promote cross-cultural educational exchange programs to benefit communities in Chicago and Brazil.
• Serve as a resource and referral service to the community at large about Brazilian contemporary issues through organization of literary events, book discussions, and lectures.
• Present and organize, independently or in collaboration with other institutions, dance performances, music shows, art exhibitions and other cultural and educational activities.
• Promote social events that would enhance the lives of Brazilians living in the Chicago area and the community at large.
